DIAMOND AIRCRAFT TO UNVEIL D-JET AT EAA AIRVENTURE
The Diamond D-JET will make its public debut at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2006.
This will be the first public viewing of the D-JET after it is shown to Diamond owners at DiamondFest, an annual owner's fly-in, being held this year on July 15 and 16.
The D-JET is a 5 place luxury personal jet, powered by the FADEC controlled Williams FJ33 turbine and equipped with Garmin all glass flight deck and autopilot. The D-JET is Diamond's vision of the ultimate private aircraft.
On Wednesday, July 26, the D-JET will arrive and taxi onto AeroShell Square, where Diamond executives will conduct a 10:30 a.m. briefing for AirVenture attendees. "We look forward to publicly showcasing our latest achievement for the first time at AirVenture and sharing with the industry our excitement and prospects for the D-JET," said Diamond CEO Christian Dries.
Later that afternoon, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the D-JET will provide a flight demonstration as a prelude to the air show for the crowd of nearly 100,000 anticipated to be in attendance that day. A mock-up of the D-JET will be on display at Diamond's booth throughout AirVenture, July 24 to 30.
